Thanks for stopping in!  My photos here are pictures of some of my paintings.

I make art that I hope is useful to others in some way. I've been much encouraged during the rough times in my life by other people's art (Vincent van Gogh, Matthias Gruenewald, James Joyce, Joan Mitchell, and many more), and I seek to make images that are inspirational to others.  I need to be outdoors a lot; I walk in the woods nearly every day, rain or shine. The natural forms out there show up on the canvas, reshaped into all sorts of other things.

The spiritual path I'm on is only a path. It has no name and it leads nowhere and everywhere, as far as I can tell. Every time I think I know where I am on it, the road takes another turn and poof, I'm lost again. Ever have that experience?

Because I'm in the midst of raising kids and they are the big focus right now, I can't say I'm a big pillar of anything. I'm maybe a supporting beam, or perhaps a floor joist, in several organizations relating to human rights, service, art, and sometimes politics.

Maybe I'll add more later if I can think of something fancy.
